Hi, I'm Shari Feldman Krandel and I am a senior designer at Valet Custom Cabinets and Closets. And this is my own personal closet. The number one question that clients ask me is, what kind of hangers do I use? And my favorite is this crystal clear plastic hanger. I love the swivel top that it has here. The super easy to use. I can hang it anywhere. And you, which way? Um, I like that. If you look at my clothes, well you see my clothes, you don't see the hanger. Um, the hangers disappear. I also drip dry the majority of my clothes and these hangers I can put what clothes on them, let them drip dry and then put them right into my closet. I don't like anything that has extra steps to it. Now having said that, I have other clients that feel differently. They prefer, uh, plastic hangers. Um, I have a couple over here I'll be talking about in further, um, uh, installments of my closet. Um, and I use them for a specific purpose. But if I use these and I hang clothes over the sides of them, I'm going to get those nubbies in the shoulders and um, and the clothes are gonna, um, uh, not look good. So I am not a fan of those for the overall closet. Um, also another, uh, type of hanger that my clients like are the velvet lined ones. And also I don't like those because I don't want my clothes all scrunched up. Like I have my clothes nicely spaced out here. Sometimes you really need stuff just completely scrunched up because you need all of that extra space, but it's really hard to get to. And the slimline hangers are great for this sort of thing. Uh, but you cannot drip dry on them. Um, they will rust. And so, um, that's a two step process. And so for me, that's a hard no. Um, the fastest, fastest way you can upgrade your closet today is to get all new hangers and then everything just has a really beautiful, consistent look. All right, that's all you need to know about hangers.
